Better health starts with better information

Healthovi exists for the moment after an appointment or a lab result, when you have a number or a term and no idea what it actually means. We explain it in plain language, then help you turn it into good questions for the person who is actually treating you.

Plain language first

Every explainer answers what it means, why it matters, and what to ask your doctor — without jargon or scare tactics.

Public-health sources

We build on guidance from bodies such as the WHO, NHS, CDC and major specialty societies, and we name the sources on each page.

Reviewed and dated

Pages carry review dates, and reader corrections go straight to the editorial queue. Guidance changes, so pages change with it.

No advice, no ads

Healthovi is education, not diagnosis or treatment. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.

Our limits, stated plainly

Nothing on Healthovi is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for a consultation. Reference ranges, screening ages and treatment thresholds differ between countries and between people. If something here disagrees with your clinician, your clinician has your full history and we do not.

If you think a page is wrong, unclear or out of date, please tell us. Corrections are the fastest way this library gets better.
